Time Machine · recording the piano
New songs.
New stages.
Hello, UK.
Jennifer Ewbank is a singer songwriter and pianist with Dutch, English and Irish roots. Raised on The Eagles and Dolly Parton, she writes country folk pop about finding your own way home. Her new single, Time Machine, is out now, following the six song EP Between The Head & The Heart. In 2027, she brings her band to Britain.
Time Machine, out now.
Time Machine
A song about wanting to go back, not to change a thing, only to see it again. Written and sung from her parents' side of the story, looking back at a good life together and finding it was made of very ordinary days. Produced by Nick Jongejan, with additional production by Lukaz.
Six songs, one record.
Between The Head & The Heart
Six songs that arrived one at a time across two years, from a songwriter who spent most of her career giving her best work to other people. Produced independently by Lukaz, Gordon Groothedde and Nick Jongejan, with a band in the room. The title is the argument running underneath all six: what you know, against what you want.
Six songs. One EP.
They arrived one at a time across two years. They were never meant to stay apart.
Between The Head & The Heart
The song the EP is named for, and the argument running underneath all six: what you know against what you want.
Written independently
Drawn from a songbook now past fifty six, recorded with a band in the room rather than a laptop.
Out one by one
Scary Movie, Real Deal, Why Would Anyone Fight A Butterfly, the title track, Price To Pay and One Step At A Time.
Songs written to be lived in.
A new original single every season, drawn from a songbook of more than thirty songs and counting.
From the studio to the stage.
Two countries. One piano. Her own story.
Raised in The Hague as the daughter of a British musician, with English and Irish roots on that side of the family, Jennifer grew up between two languages and one piano. From a semi final on The Voice of Holland to sold out arena shows, from Nashville writing rooms to twenty six nights on the road with Douwe Bob, everything led to this: her own songs, her own band, her own story.
Offstage she is a proud animal welfare ambassador who writes songs, lives on chocolate, and believes the best stories are the true ones.
